He asked the one question nobody else had asked, then actually listened to the answer. I did most of the talking — and I still left with more than I brought.
“the one question nobody else had asked”
I hear this from almost everyone who calls me. It's never actually the calendar or the mindset — it's whatever's underneath both, and most people can't name it on their own. That's what the next forty-five minutes are for.

Nine questions, about three minutes. Then it tells you which of the three is actually carrying the most.
No list you have to escape from. No card, no account.

Who's on the Other End of This
I spent twenty years finding out — on myself, first — which parts of “get calmer, get sharper, get your evenings back” actually hold up under pressure, and which parts are just noise dressed up as wisdom.
It started with a health scare that had nothing to do with coaching. Gout swelled my ankles and feet until a walk I loved — fifteen minutes, most days — turned into a painful, hour-long trip to the hospital. I didn't want to accept that managing the flare-up was the only option, so I went looking for what else was actually true. I didn't stop looking for two decades.
Everything in this practice survived that filter before it ever reached a client. Nothing here is theory.

How I Actually Look at This
Twenty years of doing this, and the pattern repeats: someone optimizes the one part of their life they can see — the calendar, next quarter's numbers — and can't work out why the results won't hold. Real performance runs on three things, not one. Whichever one's actually behind it, it's not a character problem — it's a capacity problem, and capacity is rebuildable.
01
The body and the closest relationships holding up the pace you're keeping. When this one's quietly running on empty, everything else gets harder than it should — no amount of discipline fixes a nervous system that's out of runway.
02
The decisions, the leadership, the work that actually produces results. It's the one most performance advice already targets — necessary, and almost never the whole story.
03
The reason any of it is supposed to matter. When this one's off, hitting the number doesn't land the way it's supposed to, no matter how clean the other two are running.
Most people can tell me which one is loudest right now. What I'm actually listening for is which one is stuck — and those aren't always the same ring. You're not supposed to work that out alone. It's the first thing we do together, in the forty-five minutes we'd spend on a call.
Fifteen minutes, one week to try it, no call required — what to check before you add one more system to your calendar.

The quiz and the guide are both useful on their own, and neither is required. What actually starts the work is a conversation — and after that, at most one decision.

Forty-five minutes, free, on a real calendar. I listen, I tell you what I'm actually hearing, and you leave with one specific thing to try — whether or not we ever speak again.
02
If it's a fit, you'll know the shape of it before you hang up. The first thirty days carry a straight guarantee — if it's not worth what you paid, you get it back.

Forty-five minutes, zero pitch. He told me what he'd do, what he wouldn't, and where I didn't need him at all. I've never heard a coach say that second part out loud.

I came in expecting a framework. What I got was one specific thing to try that same week — and a reason to believe the problem wasn't the one I'd written in my first email.

Not the part that's loudest — the part that's actually stuck, in the body, the work, or whatever's underneath both. Forty-five minutes, free, on a real calendar, and you'll leave knowing more than you walked in with — whether or not we ever talk again.
