What This Site Uses

This site does not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. It sets a small number of cookies, all strictly necessary for the signed-in areas, and none of them is set for a visitor browsing the public site:

• Admin sign-in cookies (admin.ringsoflife.com): the session cookies of our authentication provider (Amazon Cognito, through the Amplify library). They keep our staff signed in to the admin area.
• Members session cookie (members.ringsoflife.com), named rol_member: a cookie signed by this site that keeps you signed in to the members area. It lasts 30 days unless you sign out.
• Google connection cookie (admin.ringsoflife.com), named rol_google_state: a temporary cookie, valid for 10 minutes, used only when our staff connect a Google account in the admin area, to confirm the request came from them.

Email Open and Click Tracking

Not a cookie, but a similar technology, so it is listed here. The emails we send contain a small invisible image, and their links pass through go.ringsoflife.com before reaching their destination. Through them our email provider, Amazon SES, records when an email is opened and which link is clicked, with the time, your IP address and the type of device or email app. We use it only to know that our emails are delivered and read. To avoid it, turn off automatic image loading in your email app, open https://ringsoflife.com directly instead of clicking a link in the email, or unsubscribe from commercial email with one click.

Why We Do Not Use Tracking Cookies

The Service does not run third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking scripts. The only measurement we do is the email open and click tracking described above. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.

Managing Cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking these cookies will sign you out of the admin or members area, but will not affect the public pages of this site.
