- What Is Rings of Life, and Who Is It For?
- It's one-to-one coaching with Steve Nye for founders, executives and owners who look like they're succeeding and feel like they're running on empty. The work looks at three parts of your life together: your body and your people, your work, and your sense of why.
- What Are the Three Rings?
- Foundation is your body and your people: your health, your energy and the few relationships that see you with the mask off. Engine is your work: your decisions, your leadership and the part of life that produces income. Compass is your why: what any of it is for. They're linked, so strain in one often comes from another, which is why fixing only the ring that hurts tends not to hold.
- Is This Therapy?
- No. This is forward-looking, goal-based coaching, not diagnosis or treatment of a medical or mental health condition. If what you need is clinical care, I'll say so directly.
- Does the Scorecard Actually Find My Root Cause?
- It shows which ring is carrying the most strain, and gives you one thing to try this week. The real finding, and the fix, happen in conversation over time, not in four minutes. Anyone promising a root cause in four minutes is selling you something.
- What if I Don't Know What's Wrong, I Just Know Something Is?
- That's exactly who this is built for. The Scorecard takes four minutes and shows which of your three rings is under the most strain, so you have somewhere to start. You can also skip it and book the free strategy session: describing your week is enough.
- I've Already Tried Coaching. Why Would This Be Different?
- Most coaching goes to work wherever it hurts. If the ring that hurts isn't the ring that's stuck, that work helps for a few weeks and then stops. The diagnosis is the difference, not the enthusiasm.
- Is This Remote or in Person?
- Sessions are remote, on video. I'm based in New York and work with clients across the US.
- What Does Working Together Look Like?
- One-to-one sessions on video, each built around one thing, such as a decision, a habit or a conversation you're avoiding, and each ending with something specific you'll do before the next one. How often we meet and for how long is something we settle together on the free strategy session, once we both know what the work is.
- What Happens on the Strategy Session?
- Forty-five minutes, free, one to one on video. You talk about your actual week, I ask questions that narrow it down, and you leave with one specific thing to try and a straight answer about whether working together makes sense. The scorecard helps but isn't required, and there's no pitch if it isn't a fit.
