Compass Ring
Ancestral Clearing, Explained Plainly
Ancestral Clearing is a guided, conversation-based process that works with inherited family patterns and beliefs — the assumptions about money, worth and “enough” that tend to get set long before you were old enough to question them. It is a conversation, not a ceremony.
What Problem Is It Actually For?
The Compass pattern: you hit the goal and it doesn't land. If achieving the thing reliably fails to produce the feeling it was supposed to produce, the definition of “enough” being used probably isn't one you chose. This work is about separating what is actually yours from what you absorbed before you had a say in it.
What Does a Session Actually Look Like?
You talk. I ask questions about patterns that repeat — around money, worth, obligation, or the same conflict showing up in different decades. There's a guided release element, and it's spoken rather than physical. Nothing is required of you beyond being willing to look at it honestly.
Is This Therapy?
No, and the distinction matters. Therapy diagnoses and treats conditions, and requires a licence. This is forward-looking coaching work. If what surfaces in a session belongs with a licensed clinician, you'll be told that plainly.
Why Is This the Last Thing You Tell Me About?
Because it's the one with the least behind it, and because the name does it no favours with people who think carefully. We would rather you evaluate the work on the two rings above this one first, and come to this only if it's relevant to you.
Evidence: None Published
Nothing. There are no peer-reviewed studies, no clinical trials and no published research on Ancestral Clearing as a named practice, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What exists is practitioner and client report. Claims made elsewhere that this alters DNA or works through epigenetics are not supported and are not made here. If an absent evidence base is disqualifying for you, that's a reasonable position — the Foundation and Engine work stands on its own, and plenty of clients never touch this at all.
My Training in This
I practise Ancestral Clearing as part of my work on the Compass ring.
This is one of the tools used when the quiz points at the Compass ring. It is not used with everyone, and it is never the starting point.
This supports personal growth and stress management. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.
